Owner, Alex DiIonno

Hi! My name is Alex DiIonno and I’m the owner of Roots Furniture Studio, LLC. Formerly known as Alex's Wood Works, as of March 2025, I have rebranded my business after 10 great years of business! The name Roots represents where my first interest in woodworking came from. My grandfather was a master carpenter among many other skills and was an inspiring figure as I began my own woodworking journey. My work itself is also rooted in traditional methods of woodworking which have been time tested for thousands of year. You could say I have a fond appreciation of a time when things were made to last and the people making them truly took pride in their work. 

 

 My shop is located in rural Green Township in Sussex County, NJ. I officially started woodworking full-time in 2015 after leaving my corporate job. I’ve operated as a one-man operation since that time, building a wide array of fine furniture pieces with beautiful hardwoods sourced from NJ, NY and PA.
